Trying Something New

After following a few friends blogs and enjoying it as a way to keep connected and continually learn more about my friends I've decided to try it out. Hopefully you will bear with me as I figure out how to do this and make it personal and fun.

My goal is to give my friends the same connection I have found enjoyable as well as giving myself an outlet for my many musings, experiences, and my occasional need to vent about life. I also hope to share my adventures in cooking and crafting with whoever decides to read this. Plus I think it will be fun! So on any given day you might find one of my gluten-free recipes, or a new craft/project I've tried, maybe my take on a book that I've just finished, and (more likely than not) an update about my many searches: relief from my never ending headache, a job that I enjoy and fulfills me, and the true joys of life.

To start off I will explain the title! This is a combination of two of my favorite sayings, that I try to live by daily. The first is "Not all who wander are lost." by Tolkien. Wandering is okay, and it doesn't mean that you are lost, which is sometimes how it feels. The second saying is something that my former boss always says, "Walk in balance." Now remembering how to do either of these things is difficult in and of itself, but to be okay wandering and trying to stay in balance is just hard! So that is what I'm working towards. Wandering through life, finding what is meaningful and joyful, while keeping a balance between all of the different parts of life.
